Strengthen Remembrance Through National Events

The RCMP Veterans’ Association, Nova Scotia Division, remains committed to preserving the legacy of service through active participation in national commemorative events.

In February 2026, a Nova Scotia representative joined the 35th anniversary commemoration of the Persian Gulf War in Halifax, an initiative led by Veterans Affairs Canada in collaboration with veteran organizations.

This multi-day event brought together veterans to recognize service, reflect on shared experiences, and support ongoing advocacy efforts for proper recognition of overseas missions. Through ceremonies, public acknowledgements, and community engagements, the commemoration highlighted the importance of Honouring those who served while continuing to raise awareness of their contributions.

Such initiatives reflect the Association’s dedication to remembrance, ensuring that the sacrifices and achievements of RCMP members and Canadian veterans are acknowledged, respected, and preserved for future generations.

Support Families in Honouring Loved Ones

We assist families in preserving the memory of their loved ones by providing guidance, resources, and support. Whether through memorial recognition or ongoing care initiatives, we help ensure that each life of service is properly acknowledged.

Maintain Dignity Through Gravesite Care

Our commitment extends to the respectful care and maintenance of RCMP gravesites across Nova Scotia. Through dedicated inspection programs and volunteer efforts, we ensure that final resting places remain well-kept and continue to reflect the honour of service.

Strengthen Remembrance Through Community Involvement

Remembrance is strengthened through the participation of members, families, and the wider community. By engaging in events, sharing stories, and supporting initiatives, we create a lasting connection that keeps the legacy of RCMP Veterans’ alive.

Inspire Future Generations Through Legacy

By preserving history and Honouring service, we help future generations understand the dedication and sacrifice of RCMP members. This ongoing commitment ensures that their contributions continue to inspire and be valued over time.
