Regular Meetings: Meetings are held on the second Wednesday, of each month (Except July/August) at 7:00 PM. We alternate between the Redcliff and Brooks Legions (Car pool – Meet at Redcliff Detachment at 6:50 PM). Please check with our website for dates.

We joined as ”Wounded Warriors“ and organized ourselves in order to provide support to ourselves and to keep abreast with veteran’s issues. Regular formal and informal monthly meetings are held alternating between Redcliff and Brooks, Alberta.
Tradition and Heritage Events
- As a recently formed Division (visit History link at cypresshills.rcmpvet.ca), traditions of the Division are still emerging, however, members are attending annual events in their communities, e.g.
- Medicine Hat Police Service’s annual Regimental Dinner/Policeman’s Ball.
- Annual Brooks Legion Community Appreciation Dinner.
Activities
Sick and shut-in visits
Visitations to veterans and members, and get-well offerings.
Law enforcement/community
- Remembrance Day/Decoration Day and Police/Peace Officer Memorial Services.
- RCMP Medal Ceremonies/Medicine Hat Police Service’s Regimental Dinner/Ball.
Association programs/services
- Division advocacy; Updates on veteran issues and benefits, such as estate planning insurance, etc.
- Provide spiritual guidance through Division’s Chaplain
- Honour guard at wakes and funerals
- Annual gravesite inspections – if requested by the local Detachment Commander
Special events
- Many of our members support/volunteer with the various Sports and Community Service Groups in Medicine Hat, Redcliff and Brooks, Alberta.
- Many of our members are members of our Legion Branches and the Medicine Hat branch of the National Association of Federal Retirees.
- Annual Christmas Social along with other quarterly socials.
- Emails are regularly sent to all members to keep everyone up to date with National and Divisional issues.
