Mission & Values

The Saskatoon Division of the RCMP Veterans Association fosters a forward-thinking, supportive environment that honors traditions while promoting the welfare of former RCMP employees and families. In 2023, while the Force celebrated it’s 150th anniversary, the Division celebrated its 65th anniversary. We hosted the RCMPVA Annual General Meeting in 2013 and plan to host the 2028 RCMPVA on June 1-3, commensurate with our 70th year anniversary.

Activities and Engagement

  • Our Regular Coffee Klatches often garner out of province visitors
  • Our Luncheons encourage face-to-face camaraderie and guest speakers
  • Heritage Projects: We built and maintain the RNWMP Detachment at the Western Development Museum; the 2025 Grave Site Inspection Project identified 283 Veteran graves in 19 communities that we assist to maintain that includes the NWMP Cemetery in Battleford, Saskatchewan.
  • Annual Events: Battleford Luncheon in the spring; Memorial Golf Tournament and BBQ each August; Legion Poppy and Salvation Army Campaigns and our Christmas Social.
  • Support & Advocacy: Hospital/home visits; medical claims assistance; fruit baskets for hospitalized members; phone calls to shut-ins; family and funeral support with honor guards; and ongoing contact with spouses of departed members.
  • Law Enforcement & Community: Participation at Remembrance Day and Citizenship Day ceremonies, RCMP Medal presentations and Troop Dinners.
  • Collaboration with our neighbouring Divisions in Regina and Prince Albert to ensure best practices and support on joint projects.

Tradition and heritage events
