The 1st President of this Division was Reg. # 10313, Reginald (Reg) Walter Irvine. Reginald was born in 1905 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police on May 31, 1927 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Reginald trained in “N” Division, Rockcliffe, Ontario and “Depot” Division, Regina, Saskatchewan. All of his service was completed in “H” Division. He retired from the Force on July 31, 1952, having attained the rank of Sergeant Major.
Reginald was awarded the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Long Service Medal on August 1, 1947.
After retiring from the Force, Reginald was involved in the Real Estate business and was a member of the Masons in Halifax. He moved back to his home in Delta, British Columbia in 1972.
He passed away in Delta, British Columbia on August 18, 1984. Reg is buried at Boundary Bay Cemetery, 858-56th Street, Tsawwassen, Delta, British Columbia, Lot 19, Block 70.
