Dale Gillespie joined the RCMP in 1961. He served in multiple regions of the country; most notably after he joined RCMP Air Division. He was promoted throughout his service to the rank of Staff Sergeant. He converted to Special Constable status as a pilot with Regimental No. S/2303.
