John Lindsay joined the RCMP on October 28, 1974. Following recruit training at Depot Division, Regina, he was posted to British Columbia and served at North Vancouver Detachment. He discharged on October 31, 1975 at the rank of Constable. Following his discharge, he worked in the trucking industry for over 35 years.
