A team of researchers from the Bruyère Research Institute in Ottawa and the University of Toronto are seeking research participants for their study entitled: “Understanding Prescribing Cascades”.
Prescribing cascades occur when a side effect from a medication is treated by another medication.
If you are an Ontario resident over the age of 65 who may be taking a medication for the side effects of another, the team would like to speak with you about your experiences. Your input will help us to understand how and why prescribing cascades start and continue, how appropriate they are, their impact on people, and what can be done to better manage or resolve a cascade.
For more information, please contact the research team at deprescribing@bruyere.org or by phone at 613-562-6262 ext. 1770. We hope to hear from interested people by October 31, 2019.
