Veterans’ Week Commemorative Service  Sunday – November 9, 2025

RCMP National Memorial Cemetery at Beechwood, Ottawa

Annually Canada marks Veterans’ Week, November 5-11, as a time to pay special tribute to all veterans leading up to Remembrance Day. The Ottawa Division of the RCMP Veterans’ Association along with the Beechwood Cemetery Foundation will, on Sunday November 9th, host a special ceremony at the RCMP National Memorial Cemetery at Beechwood honouring all those who have served Canada in times of war, military conflict and peace, and especially the many who have fallen in the service of our country.

This is an open service and we encourage all RCMP veterans, employees, their families and the general public to attend at the site of the RCMP Fallen Member Cenotaph & Honour Roll. A small number of invited guests will be called upon to lay a wreath. The service will commence shortly before 10:45 am and should be no more than 30/40 minutes in duration. Those who might wish to join us on the Parade Square would be most welcome and are asked to please contact our Sgt-at-Arms Marc Dureau, CD at ottawa.sgtatarms@rcmpva.org by November 3rd. The order of dress for those who will be part of the parade is: No.1 Duty and Parade Dress (Blue blazer) with headdress with large medals.

We are grateful to those who serve those who have served and those who are no longer with us. Their family members are always in our thoughts.

Immediately following the memorial service, all attendees are also invited to the main pathway near the cenotaph where we will be unveiling a commemorative plaque recognizing RCMP Graves – “Maintain our Memories”
