2025 Education Award Program
The RCMP Veterans’ Association-Ottawa Division, is pleased to announce the launching of its 2025 Education Award Program. We are proud of the ongoing relationship the RCMPVA has with our primary sponsor, belairdirect.
Ottawa Division continues to build on this relationship and with support from belairdirect, we are jointly sponsoring the 2025 Education Fund. Together we will be sponsoring the awarding of eight (8) $1,000 education awards this year.
The selection of the candidates will be based on equal opportunity and in accordance with the following criteria and procedures:
- The student must be under 25 years of age and must be accepted at, or be attending a post-secondary institution (university, college or other recognized educational facility) on a full-time basis, leading to a degree, a diploma or a certificate. The student can be already attending one of the above listed educational facilities (any year) or can be entering from high school.
- Education awards are available to dependants and grandchildren of the following. ALL FORMER RCMP EMPLOYEES (former RM of the RCMP, CM of the RCMP, RCMP Reserve, RCMP Auxiliary or former Federal or Municipal employee who has worked for the RCMP and resides in the Ottawa Division’s jurisdiction in the National Capital Region, (which includes the City of Ottawa and the Outaouais Region in Quebec), and also the Counties of Russell, Prescott, Renfrew, Lanark, Leeds, Grenville, Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry. Employees of the RCMP Veterans’ Association “The Quarterly” who reside in the NCR.
- This Education Fund is totally separate from the RCMP Scholarship Program funded from the Benefit Trust Fund which is available throughout the Force to dependants of members (RM & CM) and former members.
- The period for submission of applications is July 1, 2025, to September 1, 2025.
- All applications will be verified for eligibility. Eight (8) names will be drawn in an appropriate manner during the RCMP Veterans’ Association – Ottawa Division, Regular General Meeting (RGM), date to be determined. The winners will be notified and announced on the Ottawa Division website.
- Payment will be made directly to the recipient upon proof of registration.
- Applicants may receive a scholarship only once from the RCMP Veterans’ Association – Ottawa Division Education Fund Program.
- Only one application permitted per student.
