The RCMP will be implementing new Gender and Harassment Advisory Committees (http://infoweb.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/comm/com/ghac-ccesh/index-eng.htm) across all divisions, and one nationally. These Advisory Committees will provide advice to the Commissioner and Commanding Officers on matters involving gender, sexual orientation, harassment, equity and inclusivity.

The creation of these Advisory Committees stems from the Merlo Davidson (https://merlodavidson.ca/en/) settlement agreement and is just one of the many initiatives the RCMP is implementing in an effort to eliminate harassment and discrimination from the workplace.

There will be one National Advisory Committee chaired by the Commissioner and a Divisional Advisory Committee for each of the 16 divisions, chaired by the Commanding Officer. Each committee will consist of eight employees, including two managers, and will be reflective of the diverse composition of the RCMP.

Your voice matters. Please help us in making a difference by applying to join a Gender and Harassment Advisory Committee today. For further information on how to apply, please see: http://infoweb.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/comm/com/ghac-ccesh/how-comment-eng.htm
